ONE DAY TRAINING WORKSHOP ON on “CROSS-DISCIPLINE PLATFORMS: Scopus, ScienceDirect and Mendeley” was organized by MathTech Thinking Foundation, INDIA in collaboration with Department of Mathematics, Punjabi University, Patiala, INDIA; School of Science and Humanities, Poornima University, Jaipur, INDIA; Bahir Dar University, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia  on 11 March 2022.  758 delegates from Ethiopia, India, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Malaysia from different backgrounds and professions likeresearch scholars, National and International faculty members from Universities/ Institutes, Engineers, people from academia, and Post Graduate Students participated in this International Training Workshop.

The agenda of the training includes a comprehensive overview of the Scopus, ScienceDirect and Mendeley, their features and benefits to the users. How cross-discipline platforms support research journey, enable research and career management and empower to make an even greater impact in research and academic career. After this training, users will be able to use the information in their career and work. We were able to achieve our objectives and our delivery was appreciated by the targeted audience which included research scholars, National and International faculty members from Universities/ Institutes, Engineers, people from academia, and Post Graduate Students

The workshop was started with welcome address to the speakers and all the participants from different time zone. Then resource person Dr. Vinita Saroha Customer Consultant, South Asia, ELSEVIER  was invited and introduced by Dr. Satyabir Singh. She started her talk with Mendeley data base and its uses for research to manage the research activities.  This was a wonderful virtual training workshop, which made us realize that we need to practice Mendeley in real mode then she addressed on SCOPUS and ScienceDirect. All the session were very interesting and appreciated by the attendees. Overall, the workshop has wrapped up on a promising note. It was a useful interaction that is sure to motivate many aspirants. Sharing our experiences with some of leading researchers was a golden opportunity for us and we are thankful for that. We look forward to such interactions in the near future. We are grateful to all experts, for their wisdom and above all, we appreciated their willingness to spend their valuable time with us. In all, it was an absolute honor to share space with you all even though virtual space. At the end, Dr. Satyabir Singh shared the overall report of the event with us and he also acknowledged the appreciation from the participants. He presented brief remarks on the training workshop and also expressed his gratitude to the entire team working round the clock to make this event successful. After that Dr. Sudhi Rajive proposed a vote of thanks.  She expressed her deep sense of appreciation to all the members for their valuable support and presented her gratitude to the participants for their invaluable support. She acknowledged theConvener, Organizing Committee members, secretaries, organizing chairperson and Students Volunteers. They shared their experience and reviews during this workshop. She also thanked all the participants for their active participation and patience during the workshop and the members who worked tirelessly for the success of the event.
